Fire Emblem Heroes Made $400m In 18 Months - By Far The Most Successful Fire Emblem Game

It's been 18 months since Fire Emblem Heroes launched on mobile devices and the numbers are in - the game has made $400m in worldwide revenue, making it by far the most successful game in the franchise (on a revenue basis).

The next best selling game in the franchise is Fire Emblem: Awakening on the Nintendo 3DS which sold 2.1m copies worldwide. Assuming each and every copy sold for $39.99 that's only $84m. In fact if you add up the sales of the next 10 best selling Fire Emblem heroes games (9.56 million units) you'd get about $382m, still less than what Fire Emblem Heroes did in 18 months. Fire Emblem Heroes literally made more money than the next 10 best selling games in the franchise COMBINED. Wow.

Given the game's huge success, expect to see Nintendo launch more and more titles on mobile. They'd be crazy not to.
