Fortnite Creator Epic Games Valued at Nearly $15B

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite and the Unreal Engine, was valued at nearly $15 billion today after the company raised $1.25 billion in investment. No word on whether the company issued new stock or an existing investor sold out, but the shares changed hands at a price point which valued Epic Games at nearly $15 billion. Just to put that number into context, Square Enix is worth ~$4.32B, Nexon is worth ~$10B, and Activision Blizzard is worth $53B.

Tencent owns 40% of Epic Games and is still working on launching the game in China. I suspect the game's popularity will explode higher once it's widely available in the world's largest gaming market.
