Galaxies Of Eden Is A New Indie Sci-fi Social MMO Coming In 2022

Galaxies of Eden is an upcoming sci-fi sandbox MMO from MIR Cybernetics Corporation, a Canadian indie studio based in Toronto. The game comes with all the trappings you’d expect from a modern “social” MMORPG, including professions, in-depth character customization, player housing, a player-run economy, world bosses, and dance emotes.

“Galaxies of Eden is a modern social sandbox MMORPG where players will be able to venture forth as adventurers, industrialist, or even as artists and build their own communities. Players will be able to customize every aspect of their character’s appearance, build player cities, craft anything from weapons and vehicles to houses and furniture. Community driven gameplay is meticulously designed to make the players an integral part of the game. Players will be encouraged to grow their own communities, adventure and socialize with other players.”

The team’s goal is to have the game’s alpha version out by 2022 with 600 players per server and several starting professions, namely: Artist, Combat Medic, Juggernaut, Sharpshooter, Nanotech, Vehicle Engineer, Architect, Surveyor, Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, and Diplomat. The server population limit will eventually be bumped up to 1000 players along with new features such as spaceships and opt-in PvP.

MIR Cybernetics has yet to announce a business model but the assure fans that the game won’t have pay-to-win content or even paid cosmetics.
