Gamigo Acquires Global Rights To Fiesta Online

Gamigo has been hosting Fiesta Online in North America and Europe for some time now. During the past few years, however, updates have been few and far between. The last updates were fairly minor "Community Patches" that gave the community minor changes that they had been asking for.

Gamigo announced today that it has acquired the rights to "all language versions of Fiesta Online worldwide"—even the Indonesian and Middle Eastern versions—and the "exclusive global rights of use" from Fiesta's original developer Ons On Soft. With this acquisition, the company plans to assemble a team of American and European developers to continue development of the title. Current update plans include raising the level cap from 125 to 140, adding "completely new game content," rebalancing classes even more, and providing bug fixes and optimizations.

Gamigo's VP of Publishing Jens Knauber had the following to say about the announcement: "With the acquisition of Fiesta Online we can optimize the game mechanics according to the wishes of our customers and further enhance them in cooperation with the active communities of all language versions."
