Genshin Impact Version 4.2: Roses And Muskets Will Introduce Two New Gun-Toting Characters

Guns and roses are coming to Genshin Impact when Version 4.2: Roses and Muskets update arrives next week. No we’re not referring to the iconic 80s rock band, but a pair of new gun-toting female characters – Navia and Chevreuse – and rose gear sets.

Navia is a 5-star Geo character who wields a heavy-hitting gunbrella that she can also use to bop enemies on the head with. Chevreuse, on the other hand, is a 4-Star Pyro armed with a flint-lock musket and healing abilities. You’ll be able to roll for Navia when the first half of the update drops on December 20, with Chevreuse set to follow in Phase 2 of the update on January 9, 2024.

The update will also kick off the Fontinalia Film Festival event that will introduce a series of limited-time mini-games that revolves around producing a short film. Players will get to play around with camera angles, add commentary, and put their marksmanship skills to the test.

Roses and Muskets also promises a new collection of Genius Invokation cards, a new Fontaine-styled player housing theme, and various quality-of-life features and improvements. Developer HoYoverse is also inviting Genshin Impact fans to an hour-long free concert on December 22 where the London Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing melodies from the free-to-play multiplayer RPG.
