Genshin Impact Is Rumored To Be Getting A Trading Card Game After Version 3.1

Genshin Impact is getting an in-game trading card game of its own sometime in the near future called Genius Invokation. HoYoverse has yet to confirm a release date for the mini-game but leaked information reportedly puts it well after the launch of Version 3.0, possibly after Version 3.1. The leaks come from a user from a known Genshin Impact beta leaker called Wangsheng Funeral Parlor on Discord.

The latest leak from Wangsheng also reveals more information about the upcoming collectible card game. Players will supposedly receive a gadget after acquiring their first deck where they’ll be able to view a list of all Genius Invokation characters in Teyvat that they can challenge. They’ll all be NPCs though, which is unfortunate considering that the ability to challenge other players could make Genius Invokation a game on its own.

Matches will take place on boards located outside taverns all though it’s still unclear whether this will include all taverns, or teahouses in Inazuma’s case. For now though, it looks like the first iteration of the game will be confined to Mondstadt to start with.

Rumors also indicate a Mondstadt-held festival of some kind coming in Genshin Impact 3.1 which could very well be when the game will be unveiled or maybe even released. Until then, all we can do is speculate. What we do know is that a new batch of characters will be arriving in Version 3.1 including Cyno, Candace, and Nilou.
