A few months ago, Google made the unfortunate announcement that it will be shutting down Google Stadia by January next year and that they’ll be issuing refunds for all purchases made through the Stadia Store, including games, hardware, and DLCs, and subscription fees apart from Stadia Pro. The good news is that the refunds are now on the way and Stadia users should be getting them by mid-January next year prior to the service’s shut down date.

“Heads up, Stadians: Refunds for Stadia hardware purchases made on the Google Store will be processed starting today – be sure to check your email if you’re anticipating a refund,” tweeted Google. “We ask for your patience as we work through each transaction and ask that you refrain from contacting Customer Support as they will not be able to expedite your refund during this time. We still expect the majority of refunds to be processed by January 18th, 2023.”
