Guild Wars 2: The Icebrood Saga Episode 1 ‘Whispers In The Dark’ Is Now Live
A few months ago, ArenaNet announced that they’ll be swapping out the seasonal update cadence in Guild Wars 2 in favor of a more flexible saga content delivery system. The new saga system was first introduced back in September with the Bound by Blood prelude, the prologue to The Icebrood Saga.
The Icebrood Saga is now live with the release of its first major episode “Whispers in the Dark”. Whispers in the Dark introduces a new storyline, the new Bjora Marches map, three new Strike Mission bosses, the Ancient Boreal weapon set, and the new rock-paper-scissors style Essence Manipulation Mastery System.
“An urgent message from Almorra Soulkeeper summons you deeper into the Far Shiverpeaks, where you and your allies must stand together against the storm. But the howling wind can make any light flicker, and the cold eats at every heart. In this desolation, the voice that rings truest is the one inside you.”
