Hearthstone Revamping Ranking System, Improves Matchmaking

Hearthstone announced changes to its ranking system today which should come into effect on the March season. The major change is that every player will now reset only 4 ranks back every season. This should make it so climbing and making progress should feel easier on the lower end of the ladder while the grind back to legend for top tier players should be quicker. In addition, every rank now contains 5 stars which should result in better matchmaking as more players will be within each rank. Lastly, players now only need to win 5 gives to get their monthly cardback instead of having to reach rank 20.

Personally, I think Hearthstone still lacks rewards for high rank players. The one reward within the system (rank 20 for cardback) is now basically being given away to anyone who wins just 5 matches.
