Honkai: Star Rail’s V2.5 Brings New Characters, Events, And Beastly New Challenge

Heads up Honkai: Star Rail fans! Version 2.5, titled Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue, has officially launched, and it's packed with new content that will have you exploring the Xianzhou Luofu in fresh ways with new recruitable characters and an epic new trial and event.

The latest update picks up the story surrounding the Shackling Prison breakout. General Feixiao leads the charge to capture the escaped prisoners, with the Cloud Knights hot on their trail. New gameplay elements will be unlocked as the adventure unfolds, starting with two brand-new five-star characters who’ll be joining the fray.

First up is General Feixiao, who’s not just leading the charge—she’s a potential new recruitable five-star character for your roster. Known for her martial arts prowess and her mastery of Flying Aureus, Feixiao’s Ultimate packs a serious punch, using gunblades or a battle axe to whittle down enemy hit points and bypass their weaknesses. As a melee beast who thrives on both her own strikes and those of her allies, Feixiao is poised to become a top-tier pick for players looking to take on tougher mobs and bosses.

The second new five-star character is an ally from Xianzhou named Lingsha. She wields a mystical incense beast named Fuyuan in battle. This beast isn’t just for show—it attacks all enemies, removes debuffs, and even heals your allies. Lingsha’s Ultimate takes things up a notch by dealing Break damage and healing her team, making her an ideal support character with a serious bite.

Also joining the roster is the stealthy four-star Moze, a tactical character who can mark enemies as prey, causing them to take increased damage from Moze and his allies. His ultimate is all about high-octane offense, making him a useful addition for players looking to dish out some serious hurt.

But the action doesn’t stop with new characters. The Wardance ceremony debuts in this update, featuring characters like Luka and the chance to earn a brand-new pet, the Tuskpir. Plus, the Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield trial pits you against a shadow of Feixiao and her fearsome Flying Aureus apparition.
