Fans of indie games can now enjoy nearly a thousand games and help those affected by the armed conflict in Ukraine by purchasing Itch.io’s new Bundle for Ukraine. The bundle is available for a minimum contribution of $10 on the indie games platform, the proceeds of which will go towards humanitarian efforts in the war-torn country.

Itch.io is looking to raise $4 million to be donated to the International Medical Corps and the Ukrainian Voices of Children organization. As of this writing, over 151,000 bundles have been bought amounting to over $2.2 million in contributions from the gaming community.

“The people of Ukraine are under attack. As game developers we want to create new worlds, not to destroy the one we have. That's why we've banded together to present this charity bundle to help Ukrainians survive this ordeal and thrive after the war ends. This cause has resonated with creators around the globe, to the extent that our bundle contains almost 1,000 games, tabletop RPGs, books, etc.”

“We kept the minimum low, but we highly urge you to pay above the minimum if you can afford to do so,” wrote Itch.io. “All proceeds will be split between the charities 50/50.” The largest contribution so far has been $9,000.

Itch.io also raised over $8 million during the Black Lives Matter movement back in 2020 with a bundle that included nearly 1500 indie games.

The Bundle for Ukraine is available for purchase on the Itch.io website.
