Jagex Rolls Out Stricter Chat Filters For RuneScape And Old School RuneScape, Deploys New Poll 71 Changes

Two weeks ago, Jagex rolled out new chat filters for RuneScape and Old School RuneScape that automatically blocked abusive words regardless of whether the profanity filter was turned off. A number of players, however, have apparently found workarounds to beat the hard filter which prompted the developers to introduce stricter measures which includes the addition of more blacklisted words and phrases.

Old School Runescape has also been updated with changes based on the latest community content poll. These changes include improvements to the Gauntlet Map, a reduction in the resources required to upgrade Crystal Armor in The Gauntlet, increased Crystal Staff max hit stats, filterable Crystal pickup messages, new attack style indicators for the Crystalline Hunllef, the new craftable Mythical Max Cape, and changes to the game’s death mechanics.
