Kingdom Of Loot Launches On Steam Early Access To Negative Reviews

16-bit MMOARPG Kingdom of Loot officially launched on Steam Early Access yesterday and the reviews thus far haven't been kind. There are some true oddities, such as users noting that it's click-to-move, the spacebar is the attack key, and you hit Shift and the spacebar simultaneously to pick things up. You would think that someone would have mentioned how odd these control settings were during Alpha testing, but I suppose that no one did.

Players have also noted that the game is very grindy, grouping is almost necessary to kill even low-level monsters, and that you don't unlock your first active skill until level 15.

Regardless, Kingdom of Loot is out now for $8.99, temporarily discounted to $6.74 for the week of release. As of right now, the developers estimate that the game has 25 hours of gameplay or more. It should also be noted that the game is expected to be in Early Access for two and a half years, so you may be waiting quite some time for a finished product.
