Last Oasis Developers Crack Down On Cheating, Hundreds Of Accounts Banned

last oasis walker group bannerCheating is a rampant problem in every game. Whether it’s in a video game or even a game of Monopoly, there’s always someone who’ll try to bend or break the rules to get ahead. Indie studio Donkey Crew, however is having none of it. In fact, they’ve banned already banned hundreds of players for cheating in Last Oasis.

“We haven't publicly addressed the issue until confirming that our efforts are starting to be successful, but we've been hard at work to eradicate the players who are so bad at the game they need cheats. So far, we've banned a triple-digit number of cheaters and continue to improve the tools against them. We want you to know that we take this issue extremely seriously and will not stop until the game is free from cheats.”

As far as appeals go, the studio is taking a hard stand on the matter. “You're not sorry for cheating, you're sorry that we caught you,” says the devs. And no, you can’t transfer your hard-earned items into a different account. Also, just testing whether a cheat will work is not and will never be considered an excuse to cheat.

The studio also warns players that Clans that have members who cheat will be entirely wiped along with all their items. This also applies to sister Clans. “If your clan profits from having a cheater, even if it's just one player, the unfair advantage over the clans that play by the rules will be quickly equalized.”

Help clean up the game by reporting cheaters through the game’s Help Center. You can also head over to the Last Oasis Steam Community Page to learn more. Meanwhile, the studio has released a teaser for the upcoming wingsuit which will allow players to glide above the scorching desert sands. You can check that out below.
