Legends Of Azulgar Takes You Into Procedurally Generated Space Today

Granted you're not someone who thinks that procedural generation is overhyped, you may find Legends of Azulgar to be an interesting concept. Legends of Azulgar is a sci-fi MMORPG that takes place in a procedurally generated universe. It may seem like the kind of game is trying to compete with EVE Online, but it is looking to set itself apart with features such as at least three alien races to choose from and the ability to build ships in a modular fashion. It even includes an RTS mode of sorts for controlling entire fleets with ease.

Legends of Azulgar will be launching on Steam Early Access later today. It's a bit unclear exactly what kind of state it is in at present, but the developers have stated that it will be free until their Kickstarter begins. During the Kickstarter, players will be able to get the game for around $9. An optional VIP subscription and cosmetics-only cash shop are planned to be introduced sometime later in development.
