LEGO Worlds Launches Today, Switch Version Later This Year

After just over a year and a half in Early Access, LEGO Worlds launched today on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The title is a procedurally-generated LEGO sandbox in which you can create whatever you want without worrying about not having enough blue LEGO bricks—you also don't have to worry about stepping on LEGO bricks that you drop on the floor, which is perhaps its best feature. In addition to building, you can "uncover hidden treasures" and roam the world in a variety of vehicles.

While the game is launching on most platforms today, the Nintendo Switch version will not be available until "later this year." An exact date has yet to be announced.

LEGO Worlds is now available on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store. The game will cost $29.99 at launch, but, as of this writing, you can still buy it on Steam for the Early Access price, $14.99. Additionally, those who purchase the game on PlayStation 4 will have the chance to get an exclusive "LEGO Agents pack," which contains "new characters, vehicles, weapons, and more from the Agents range of play materials," for a limited time.
