Lord Of The Rings Online Previews Before The Shadow’s Cardolan Zone
Standing Stone Games is taking Lord of the Rings Online players and fans on a guided tour of the new Cardolan zone, one of the two new zones that will be opening when Before the Shadow officially launches.
Cardolan is a lush, grassy region located to the south of Lone-Lands and Bree-Land, near the southern edge of Eriador. The centerpiece of the region is the ancient ruins-dotted city of Tharbad that straddles the Greyflood river. In the new preview trailer, World Designer Matt Elliott teases that the new zone might just lead players to bigger and better things. “One of the things I’m really excited about with this particular space is things that it teases in the future, like the Greyflood heading south. It’s part of our teasing a wider, bigger world,” said the dev.
Players will be able to set foot in the new Cardolan and Swanfleet zones when Before the Shadow launches on November 8th.
