Lord Of The Rings Online Patches In Brawler Class And Legendary Item Revamp
Patch 30.3 is now live in Lord of the Rings Online featuring the hard-hitting Brawler class and the highly-requested Legendary Item revamp.
Players who pre-purchased the Fate of Gundabad expansion can now create and play the new Brawler class with a free Brawler Battle-gauntlets package available to Collector’s and Ultimate Edition owners.
“The Brawler is a melee class inspired by the tale of Helm Hammerhand, who fought bare-handed at one of the greatest sieges of Helm’s Deep and was known for his ferocity in battle. Brawlers forgo weapons in favor of Battle-gauntlets and heavy armor, hurling themselves into battle to the benefit of friend and devastation of foe. The main focus for Brawlers is damage, off-tanking, and support. Any race in Middle-earth can be a Brawler, except for Beornings, which are their own race and class combination.”
As for the Legendary Item revamp, the new and improved system now makes it easier for players to upgrade their weapons and offers more data to help players understand exactly how they’re getting stronger. The new system also paves the way for further Legendary Item upgrades and the new level cap in the Fate of Gundabad and future expansions.
Patch 30.3 also introduces balance tweaks to several classes, more flexible housing hooks, and a few significant item and combat changes. Set bonuses now deactivate once a player exceeds its effective level. Weapons and class item swapping during combat has also been disabled along with the disarm ability on most landscape mobs.
The full patch notes can be found on the Lord of the Rings Online official site if you want to get into the details. Meanwhile, the Fate of Gundabad expansion is still on track for release on November 10th.
