Lord Of The Rings Online To Add A New Tales of the Kindred Quest Every Week Starting Today

Lord of the Rings Online will be getting a new quest every week for two months starting today as part of Update 40’s Tales of the Kindred quest series. The new quests will take place in the city of Umbar Baharbêl and beneath the surface in the underground passages of Umbar-môkh and will be given out by a different Kindred of the Coins member every Wednesday at 6 a.m. PDT.

“It is a new dawn for Umbar. At the request of Hármelak, the Golden Queen, the Kindred of the Coins has reopened the great meeting-hall of Dâr Laja so they can better hear the voices of their people. And yet, beneath the city in Umbar-môkh, there are some who feel threatened by this new order, working in the darkness until their plans bear fruit.”

The first quest in the series can be picked up from Khôltekh the Cunning who can be found lounging on his dais in Umbar’s Meeting Hall in the Upper Ward.

Note that you’ll need to have an active VIP subscription or purchased the Beneath the Surface quest pack to take part in the Tales of the Kindred quest series. You’ll be able to take on the new quests even without completing The Song of Waves and Wind questline but its highly recommended that you do so.
