Lost Ark’s latest update, Arkesia Ignited, is almost here, but don’t get too excited just yet. The free-to-play MMORPG is currently experiencing an extended maintenance period as the massive update rolls out. Servers were taken offline early this morning at 12 a.m. PDT, with the team estimating about 15 hours of downtime. So, if everything goes according to plan, you can expect to be back in action by 3 p.m. PDT. Fingers crossed!

“The Arkesia Ignited update arrives on October 9, heralding the beginning of a new age for new and veteran players alike,” Amazon teased. For those eagerly awaiting Lost Ark’s next big evolution, the introduction of Tier 4 content is the headliner here. New endgame content will have you battling through North Kurzan as you face Kazeros’ forces with new gear, abilities, and systems designed to help players power up for the fiercer challenges ahead.

And for players looking to jump in without grinding through earlier tiers, Ignite Servers are ready to, well, ignite your progression. These special servers will quickly level you to 1620, giving you the tools you need to start tackling Tier 4 content straight away. If you’re worried about missing out on all the loot, don’t! Along with Ignite Servers, the Hyper Awakenings system is making its debut, delivering a powerful boost to those taking on Arkesia’s high-level mobs.

Though the long downtime has left fans twiddling their thumbs, there’s the promise of a ton of new content waiting at the end of it. Plus, Amazon is keeping the Chase the Storm event running through November 27th, so you won’t miss a beat once you’re back online.
