Amazon Games and Smilegate recently met to discuss player feedback and future plans for Lost Ark in the Western market. They shared their gratitude for players' dedication and excitement around recent updates while acknowledging existing inconveniences and pain-points. A Letter to the Community has been released with the key details summarized below.

The war against bots has been a top priority, with substantial effort made to restrict bots from exploiting the system. Perhaps most interestingly Amazon and Smilegate revealed that they have banned millions of bot accounts, reducing the impact on gameplay and the economy. A total of 55 billion bot gold has been removed from the economy and there's been a 99% decrease in bot interaction with the economy.

To support new players, Amazon and Smilegate are planning improvements such as low-tier enhancements, horizontal content improvements, alt progression improvements, and quality of life (QoL) updates. These changes will be implemented as soon as they are completed, aiming for the end of summer or early fall.

To address player exhaustion and learning difficulties, the teams are working on updates for Argos Abyss Raid and other earlier Legion Raids. They hope to create a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for players trying out end-game raids. Additionally, they're researching ways to reduce repetitive daily content and plan to introduce the Ebony Cube activity in May.

Regarding content cadence and events, the developers aim to introduce content quickly without causing player burnout or localization issues. They promise to update new classes as soon as possible, and more in-game events will be introduced simultaneously across the versions. Some events will be Western-exclusive, while others will take place at the same time as in Korea.

As a token of appreciation, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG are offering a gift for all players who log in before May 19. The gift includes a variety of in-game items, including Mokoko Skin, Moko Pet, Mokoboard Selection Chests, and more.

The teams at Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG are committed to improving the Lost Ark experience and fostering a better connection with their player base. Stay tuned for part 2 of this letter which comes out next week and will focus on 2023's roadmap of updates.
