Nexon announces new Mobile MMORPG - "Mabinogi Mobile," expected to release in 2018.

Over the weekend, Nexon held an event in Korea known as the "Mabinogi Showcase: Call of Destruction." While we won't (and can't, for the most part, due to a lack of translatibility from Korean sources) go overly in-depth into the event, we can talk about a trailer that Nexon recently released - and their announcement of Mabinogi Mobile.

This isn't a port of Mabinogi to mobile phones, this is a brand new game from the ground up. It's kind of hard to tell if this is what the full game will actually look like, or if this just a proof of concept demo for Nexon's investors. Either way - it looks like it'll be an interesting game, joining the ever-growing legion of mobile games coming out from the Asian market, but this one promises the ability to see and interact with your friends. It looks like it will be an interesting thing to check out, at the very least, if it ever comes to the NA Market.

  • Vanilla Thunder

that actually looks pretty unique. Those graphics should've been the evolution mabinogi's instead of the graphics on Vindictus/mabinogi heroes and that one mabi spinoff that never finished developing.

    • Agreed. I always wanted to get into Mabinogi since I was a diehard Vindictus player, but the graphics and clunky UI turned me off from it. Seeing this - it feels like a chance to experience Mabinogi and the ultimate destination the story of Vindictus is heading towards.
