After multiple delays, Jandisoft has finally announced a release date for its upcoming grimdark MMORPG Mad World as promised. The studio initially planned to launch the game in June but its since been moved up a few days before June on April 27th, presumably to give the studio and players time to get their bearings before Diablo 4 launches on June 6th.

Higher tier founders pack owners will be able to jump into the game a few days ahead of everyone else on April 22nd. If you’re not too keen on dropping $49.99 on the game, you can opt for the lower tiers which start off at $9.99 and will come with early access starting on April 24th.

Don’t get your hopes up too much though as the announcement comes with a disclaimer that the launch date may still change. “The date and time for official launch may change depending on the company situation,” says Jandisoft. “We will make an announcement in case the date and/or time for official launch changes.”

Mad World has already been delayed at least four times since its initial launch announcement in 2018. The last time the game was delayed was last year when Jandisoft insisted that it was 99.9% confident that they’ll be able to get it out by the end of 2022. It looks like it’s going to be the real deal this time though.
