Magic The Gathering MMORPG announced by Cryptic Studios

It seems that a new Magic The Gathering game is on the horizon, and it will be developed by Cryptic Studios, and published by Perfect World Entertainment. Cryptic Studios is known for games such as Champions Online: Free for All, Star Trek Online, and Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter, so things are looking promising for this new game, which is confirmed to be an MMORPG.

Details are rather sparse at this time, however. A press release indicated that this will be a "truly unique AAA game," per Cryptic Studio's CEO Stephen D'Angelo. Players will take control of a Planeswalker, to explore "amazing worlds, combat powerful creatures, and meet the legendary beings that shape the fate of the multiverse."

This new Magic game will be developed for both PC and Console, though it's not sure if all platforms will receive a simultaneous release, or a staggered one. More details will be revealed later, and not even the game's title is publicly known as of right now.
