Marvel Heroes Omega's PS4 Open Beta Begins May 23rd

Gazillion announced yesterday via Twitter that Marvel Heroes Omega's PlayStation 4 Open Beta is set to begin on May 23rd. On that day, the game will become free-to-play for all PlayStation 4 users, allowing them to jump in either alone or with a friend in local multiplayer and begin beating up the bad guys of the Marvel universe.

Despite the addition of local multiplayer capabilities, the game will be launching with far less content than its PC predecessor, including many, many fewer playable heroes and far less story content. It also will not support cross-platform play of any kind.

Those who are interested in playing early can purchase a Founder's Pack now for a minimum of $19.99; at that price, you have a choice between the Spider-Man and Deadpool Founder's Packs. PlayStation Plus subscribers also have the option of purchasing the War Machine Founder's Pack for $16.99.
