Mech-Based Multiplayer Hero Shooter Galahad 3093 Launches Into Open Beta On March 19

galahad 3093 key art logo bannerSimutronics has just announced that their upcoming mech-based hero shooter, Galahad 3093, will be launching into open beta on Steam on March 19. The game features online 32-player battles between massive war mechs known as Lances which can be customized with various mods. Players will also be able to choose from several pilots, with each pilot offering different sets of abilities.

“GALAHAD 3093 is a mech-based hero shooter set in a sci-fi future imbued with Arthurian legend. Choose your favorite Knight and customize their Lance—a menacing mech built for war—to fight in 32 player arena combat. Collect mods and weapons to upgrade your Lance and craft your own playstyle!”

Simutronics was founded in 1987 and is known for their MUD games GemStone IV and DragonRealms. The studio’s portfolio also includes CyberStrike (a.k.a. CyberStrike Classic), a graphical sci-fi combat game that won Computer Gaming World magazine’s Online Game of the Year award in 1993, and Dragons of Elanthia, a dragon-themed multiplayer shooter that’s currently in beta. The studio also developed HeroEngine and the unreleased Hero’s Journey MMORPG, both of which were sold off in 2010.

The Galahad 3093 open beta will run until March 27. Interested players can wishlist the game and request access to future playtests on the game’s Steam page. Check out the video below for a glimpse of what the game has to offer.
