Apple TV Announces 8-Episode Mythic Quest Spinoff Called Mere Mortals

Apple TV+ has announced its plans to produce an eight-episode spinoff of Charlie Days’ 2020 sitcom Mythic Quest called Mere Mortals. For those who aren’t familiar with the series, it revolves around the lives of the employees and top brass of a fictional development studio that released a popular MMORPG and is currently on its third season on the streaming platform.

The upcoming mini-series will dive further into the impact of the game on its players and fans as well as on the studio’s employees while expanding the world of Mythic Quest. According to the official press release, Mere Mortals will be based on the original’s concluding episodes and will be written by series star Ashly Burch, who played Executive Producer Davide Brittlesbee’s assistant Rachel, and the original writers Katie McElhenney and John Howell Harris.

There’s no release date for Mere Mortals as of yet but fans of the series will be happy to know that Mythic Quest has been greenlit for at least one more season.
