MMO Roguelike Starbreak Hits Greenlight

One of the co-creators of Realm of the Mad God is back with yet another MMO roguelike. His new game is called Starbreak and it is a Metroidvania-styled MMO roguelike. In it, you play an "immortal AI" using Sparks—dead humans' consciousness—in order to take control of armor suits called Shells and wage war against "The Watcher." Quite the elaborate way to explain your ability to keep playing after death.

Currently, the game features four different Shells—a long range expert, an air combat expert, a heavy weapons expert, and one that "[creates] devastating machinery"—and more than seven—perhaps eight—unique environments. There are no levels in Starbreak, instead replaced by a "clever loot system" featuring over 200 items.

You can vote for Starbreak now on Greenlight. If you're not yet sure, you can try an in-development version in-browser at the official website.
