Ramux Arrives July 30: What to Expect From Throne and Liberty's Two-Phase Dragon Fight

NCSoft and Amazon Games have confirmed that Throne and Liberty - a buy-to-play MMORPG on PC and console - will add its next Archboss, Ramux, alongside her dragon Atirat in the July 30 update. The pair are sealed in a cavern called Cavern of Eternal Void: Primorad in the Stillreach region, and the encounter is built around a two-phase structure

Ramux carries the title "The Last Dragon Knight Consumed By Hatred" and her lore ties her to the Arkeum League, driven by revenge against humankind. Both she and Atirat were sealed together and, per the official announcement, are described as "revived with an obsession that not even death could break." and they’re set to spread terror over Nix,

What the Ramux Encounter Involves

  • Phase one - mounted combat: Ramux rides Atirat while blue dragonflame rains down on the battlefield. Players need to focus damage on the dragon, with a mountable ballista available on the field to assist with ranged pressure.
  • After Atirat is down, you’ll face Ramux on her own: Once Atirat falls, Ramux absorbs the dragon's energy and the fight continues against her alone.
  • Rewards: Clearing the encounter unlocks all-new, higher-level Archboss equipment. only a brief preview is provided, and we expect more details over the next week, with more information expected to roll out ahead of the July 30 launch.

The encounter is structured in two phases. Guild groups used to standard burn rotations will need to account for target switching and ballista positioning For context on how recent Archboss reward systems have been tuned, the Frozen Divide fixes from an earlier patch is worth reviewing before the new gear enters the loot pool.

The more interesting question after July 30 is whether the new Archboss equipment tier creates a meaningful gear ceiling shift for PvP builds, or lands as incremental progression. we expect more details over the next week to prepare us all for not just the battle itself, but those shiny new weapons. but we expect more details over the next week to prepare us all for the battle itself and those shiny new weapons.
