Monster Hunter World PC Update Adds New Monster & Resident Evil Crossover Event

monster hunter world rajang bannerThe latest Monster Hunter World update brings a host of major content additions including a new monster called Rajang and a Resident Evil crossover event where exclusive RE-themed armor sets are up for grabs.

To go head to head with the Rajang, a massive monster with serious anger management issues, players must first unlock the Special Assignment by exploring the Guiding Lands at least once. The new monster also opens up a new volcanic region in the Guiding Lands where you’ll also find the Brachydios, Lavasioth, and the Uragaan.

“Your new Special Assignment will begin after you’ve finished the main story campaign of Iceborne—this means you’ve solved the mystery of the Old Everwyrm—and visited the Guiding Lands at least once. Once you feel ready for a brutal fight against one of the strongest monsters in the world of Monster Hunter, head over to Seliana and speak the Admiral to begin your quest. Defeating this ultra-aggressive foe will, of course, yield materials to craft some of the most powerful weapons and armor in the game. Good luck, hunters.”

In addition to the new monster and zones, the update also brings with it the Raccoon City event quest. “The special Raccoon City collaboration Event Quest will be available for a limited time to Iceborne hunters,” says Capcom. “Take on this peculiar Blackveil Vaal Hazak, to get materials to craft Full Armor Sets based on iconic Raccoon City survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Other rewards include some fanciful Raccoon City themed pendants for your weapons.”
