Mortal Online 2 Receives Funding From Epic Games MegaGrants, UE5 Transition In The Works

Mortal Online 2 developer Star Vault has received a substantial contribution from Epic Games through the studio’s $100 million Epic MegaGrants program. According to the studio’s press release, the grant will help support the sandbox MMORPG next stages of development, including its transition to Unreal Engine 5.

“Our collaboration with Epic Games is of great importance to provide the best possible experience for our players in Mortal Online 2 and take the MMORPG genre to the next level,” said Star Vault Co-Founder and CEO Henrik Nyström.

Mortal Online 2 is currently in Early Access on Steam with a buy-to-play price of $39.99. Whether the game will also be coming to Epic Games Store following the grant remains to be seen.
