Mortal Online 2 Removes Two Myrland Instances & Adds New Content As Population Begins To Settle

For nearly three months, Star Vault has been working non-stop to address the problem of overpopulation in Mortal Online 2 following the game’s official launch in January. Now that the launch rush has died down and the population has dropped to more manageable numbers, the developers are now focusing on adding new content and polishing up existing ones in this week’s game update.

The latest patch introduces lootable corpses in Myrland, a new explorable cave in Haven, and Red Priests outside of all keep locations. The update also changes how characters behave when on steep slopes. Instead of instantly plummeting to their doom, players will now slide down them but will still take damage if they slide down too quickly. In addition, players should no longer have problems leaving Haven when going to one of the alternative Myrland continents.

On the subject of Myrland, the devs have removed two of the four extra continents which were added post-launch to help reduce queue times and spread out the population. They’ve also increased the maximum capacity of all servers to compensate for their removal and leave some breathing room just in case a few players decide to come back.

The full patch notes can be found on the Mortal Online 2 official site.
