While I don't have access to the analytics myself, 2p is reporting that App Annie's mobile market statistics for the month of October 2016 are showing that NetEase Games has surpassed Tencent in terms of mobile games revenue. The two Chinese gaming giants have been in an unspoken battle for the top spot for some time now, with Tencent dominating every step of the way—until now.

The sudden upswing for NetEase is largely attributed to the launch of its mobile game Onmyoji, which is said to have taken the Chinese mobile market by storm. The continued success of the mobile versions of Fantasy Westward Journey and Westward Journey Online also contributed, as well as the success of Ghost.
