Netmarble Plans To Release Several Blockchain And NFT Games This Year
Korean video game company Netmarble is wholeheartedly embracing blockchain technology and will be integrating it into 70% of its upcoming games this year.
According to a report by Forbes, 14 out of the company’s 20 planned titles will feature some sort of blockchain mechanic, one of which is a new metaverse called Everybody’s Marble: Metaworld where players will be able to use NFT’s to purchase, build, and trade virtual real estate. Multi-platform MMORPG A3: Still Alive will also be launching with play-to-earn mechanics this March.
It’s worth noting that play-to-earn games are currently banned in South Korea which means that these games will be marketed in other regions.
