New Gameplay Videos Show What Lost Ark's Closed Beta Is Actually Like

Lost Ark's trailers have made the game look great, haven't they? Great to the point that I'm sure we've all become just a little bit skeptical about whether it will, in fact, play anything like it does in the trailers. Fortunately, Steparu has provided us with a metric ton of in-game footage, as well as details about the game's systems, which you can find here, here, and here. There are details about the questing experience, world bosses, one of the game's cinematic dungeons, and more.

According to Steparu, the game is set up in a fairly stereotypical way, where players move from quest hub to quest hub, doing quests in open world zones and taking on the occasional dungeon. There are Field Bosses and "random hidden time attack quests that automatically triggers in certain areas," and Steparu notes that there are even quests that let you make choices like saving your enemy or letting them get eaten by a boss, but the game is largely structured in a familiar manner. What Lost Ark is said to do really well is provide the player with "a very 'Cinematic' experience."

I've embedded a few of the accompanying gameplay videos below. You can find more information about the Closed Beta and videos from it here, here, and here.
