New World Adds Another Central European Server To Help Alleviate Queues

In case you haven’t heard, New World has seemingly caught a big break over the past month and has seen its daily peak player concurrency surge to nearly double its peak average in July and August. The surge is presumably due to the upcoming release of Brimstone Sands next month, which will mark the open-world MMORPG’s first expansion.

Unfortunately, the servers were ill-prepared to handle the sudden influx of players, resulting in lengthy queues and wait times and prompting Amazon to open three new servers last week, with the US East, South America, and Central European regions getting one new server each. Apparently, one new server wasn’t enough to accommodate the tide of players in Central Europe and a new one called “Caer Sidi” has been opened in the region as of yesterday.

Amazon still isn’t giving out free transfer tokens, but Caer Side is completely new with no existing territory ownerships despite the recycled name which makes it a perfect choice for those who want to start from scratch. Should you wish to transfer an existing character over to the new server, you’ll have to use an existing transfer token or purchase one from the cash shop.
