New World Is Rolling Out Cross-World Expeditions On The PTR Today

The New World dev team has started to tick things off its 2024 development roadmap as cross-world Expeditions and the promised group finder improvements arrives on the public test realm today.

Amazon confirmed that the features themselves will be making it to the live game in the middle of Season 4: Eternal Frost, which puts their release sometime within the next few weeks. That’s if they don’t get delayed for more polishing, as the team has apparently made it a point to ensure that features are as ready as they can be before they’re rolled out onto the live servers, even to the point of holding them back.

The developers will also be hosting a play along livestream where they’ll run Expeditions together with the community. That’s going down on January 19th at 4 p.m. PDT. Meanwhile, the latest PTR patch notes are now live on the New World official site if you want to dive into the details.

Cross World Expeditions with improved Group Finder will be featured in our next PTR preview, coming on January 16.
