New World Players Discover New Exploit That Let’s Them Send Images In Chat

Either New World players are very good at finding loopholes in the game’s code or Amazon just isn’t good at hiding them. Crafty players have found another exploit in the new survival MMORPG, this time using the game’s chatbox.

The exploit lets players send images using the chatbox ranging from hilarious to downright malicious. Some images can also make the client crash when you hover over it, which is not only annoying but can also be used to intentionally make a player disconnect during PvP.

The good news is that the issue has been fixed thanks to the prompt efforts of the dev team who probably got their Friday night plans ruined.

“Earlier today, we discovered an issue where players were able to post images and other links in the chat that resulted in unsavory behaviour. We have enabled a fix that should resolve this issue and prevent players from abusing and exploiting this feature. This should already be enabled in each region. Thank you for your patience while we investigated and resolved this issue. See you in Aeternum!”
