Amazon Game Studios is still trying to come up with ways to get New World players to queue up for the new 3v3 PvP Arena as it updates arena rewards for the fourth time this month. Today’s 1.5.5 update once again boosts PvP XP and Azoth Salt gains from the arena depending on how many rounds a team has won.

The update also introduces a new form of currency that can only be obtained from the arena. “We added a new type of Gypsum only obtainable in PvP Arenas – Garnet Gypsum,” read the patch notes. “Players can earn up to 2 Garnet Gypsum per day. It takes one Garnet Gypsum to craft a Gypsum Orb.”

Whether that’s enough to bring players into the beleaguered PvP Arena still remains to be seen. There’s also the problem of the game’s dwindling playerbase which has dropped from a monthly peak of 28,500 players in May to just 19,000 in June, according to data from SteamDB.

Meanwhile, you can check out the video below for an outline of the dev team’s July development roadmap for the game.
