Nexon's Side-Scrolling MOBA Hyper Universe Early Access Begins August 24th at $15.99
Nexon announced today that their side-scrolling MOBA Hyper Universe will be launching on Steam Early Access on August 24th in North America, South America, Europe and Oceania and will be available for $15.99. It'll be on sale for the first 4 days though for $9.91 (38% off). While the game does cost money in early access, once it fully launches it will be free to play. Hyper Universe is launching with 28 playable characters (24 of which will be unlocked for those who buy into early access).
While I'm personally excited to give the game a try, the $15.99 initial price tag for early access seems a bit much. Hyper Universe isn't the only game to charge money for early access though. Ghost In The Shell Online: First Assault followed a similar paid early access model, but went fully free to play at launch. Battlerite aims to do the same too.
Previous alpha/beta testers will get free access to the early access.
