The solution to all of Nightingale’s latency and connectivity woes is finally at hand as Inflexion Games finally rolls out Update 0.3 and its promised offline mode. As you can probably guess, the much-requested feature allows Realmwalkers to play the survival crafting game without an internet connection and even while the servers are down for maintenance.

Inflexion notes that the current release is only “Version 1” and that they plan to expand and improve it over time with the addition of cloud saves and the ability to transfer characters from the online servers alongside continuous performance enhancements. It’s unclear whether you’ll be able to transfer those characters back to the online servers along with any progress made offline, but it’s more likely that they’ll exist as two separate entities for the sake of fairness.

Update 0.3 also kicked off also kicked off a new in-game event that tasks players with collecting wisp drops and introduced several other quality-of-life improvements including the build-from-storage feature, creatures whose appearance and drops scale with realm difficulty, and an updated new-player experience with the option to skip the tutorial entirely and choose a starter loadout for new characters.

There’s also a handful of new quests to take on, new historical figures to interact with, and new Bound enemies to defeat. Details can be found in the official release notes and the update overview video below.
