Nightingale Hopes To Regain Footing With A Big Patch Later This Summer

The effort that Inflexion Games put into building hype for Nightingale seems to have been for naught as the excitement surrounding the portal-jumping, Victorian-era survival game died out literally overnight as soon as it launched into early access.

Launch day was plagued with critical issues that rendered the shared world multiplayer game virtually unplayable, so much so that an offline mode quickly became one of the most-requested features.

While Inflexion Games admits that they had their shortcomings, they say that they’re proud of what they’ve accomplished. That doesn’t mean that their work is done though, as they also say that they’re not yet satisfied with the current state of the game, especially its extremely low player numbers.

Now that the highly requested offline mode has been added and major quality-of-life improvements have been made to the game, the studio is now shifting its focus to streamlining player progression and bringing “more structure” to Nightingale’s gameplay and realms.

The changes will arrive as part of a beefy end-of-summer update, the details of which will be shared soon. In the meantime, you can learn more about what CEO Aaryn Flynn and the rest of the Inflexion Games dev team has planned for Nightingale in the new developer video below.
