Victorian Survival Crafting Game Nightingale Launched Into Early Access To Mixed Reviews

Tencent and Inflexion Games’ Victorian-era survival game, Nightingale, officially launched into early access this week and the community’s reactions was... well, meh. While Steam players acknowledged the game’s potential, they feel that it would benefit from various quality-of-life improvements, a more complex combat system, and more challenging puzzles.

The main complaint, however, is the lack of an offline mode and dedicated servers. All servers are hosted online even if you’re playing solo, which means that you’re at the mercy of the ongoing server and latency issues regardless of whether you’re playing with friends or on your own private world.

That being said, Nightingale still has a lot going for it with its stunning environments and unique gameplay mechanics. Keep in mind that the game is still in early access and will probably be updated, polished, and improved further down the line.
