Outriders Offers Compensation For Post-Launch Connectivity Issues

The Outriders April Fool’s Day multi-platform wasn’t the messiest of MMO launches, but it was problematic enough that the developers are still trying to fix things nearly two weeks into launch. As a show of appreciation for the community’s willingness to stick it out through the rocky times, People Can Fly will be sending out care packages to all players who logged in between March 31 and April 11.

“[. . .] We really appreciated all your messages of support and encouragement and they helped us power through and improve the situation,” said the team. “We would like to thank each and every one of you. Beyond just saying it, however, we would like to confirm that we are working on a small ‘appreciation package’ for our launch window players.”

The team is still deciding on the contents of the package and when it will be sent out. They have, however, confirmed that the highest leveled character in eligible accounts will receive a level-appropriate Legendary weapon, a level-appropriate amount of Titanium, and the “Frustration” emote, which is currently unobtainable in the game. Players that have been affected by the inventory wipe and restoration will also receive the package even if they weren’t able to log in during the specified dates.
