Overpower Launches On Kickstarter And Greenlight

Hydrant Games' Overpower is a game we rather liked here at MMOs.com. It's a unique, fantasy take on arena shooters that mixes elements of MOBAs into the shooter formula. It is a fun, fast-paced game that offers quick respawns and a good amount of build diversity between the four existing classes. It also has the benefit of having been well polished before Hydrant even began asking for money.

Overpower's Kickstarter and Greenlight campaigns launched simultaneously today. The plan is to launch on Steam shortly after, with all Kickstarter tiers containing the game promising the ability to play as soon as it is greenlit. But first, they're asking for $22,000 on Kickstarter.

At $22,000, Hydrant Games will update the visual effects, animations, and sound design across the board, delivering a more polished experience. They have an extensive list of stretch goals to go alongside their goal. At $40,000, each existing class will get two new gems. At $100,000, a female option for the warrior class will be added. At $115,000, they will add a new class. At $135,000, guilds will be added, allowing guild versus guild play and queuing as a guild. At $215,000, a "ranked arena ladder system" will be introduced. Some lofty stretch goals, but, having already raised $800, the base goal should be within reach.
