Overwatch 2 Kicks Off Season 8 And Welcomes A New Tank Hero Mauga Tomorrow

Overwatch 2 players will be welcoming a brutish new gatling-gun toting hero when Mauga officially makes his in-game debut tomorrow as Season 8: Call of the Hunt begins. The tank hero was first showcased at BlizzCon 2023 last month but will finally be coming to the popular hero shooter to help his team burst through enemy lines and mow them down in a hail of bullets.

“Armed with dual chainguns that will burn and burst down your enemies, Mauga is a fierce tactician that you will want to watch out for. He can charge through enemies and come crashing down on them with Overrun, reinforce his team with his Cardiac Overdrive, and even brawl in close-quarter combat with his powerful Cage Fight ultimate.”

Mauga will be arriving alongside the Battle of the Beasts 4v4 PvPvE game mode, the return of the Prop Hunt limited-time event, the Winter Wonderland holiday event, and a new battle pass, all of which offer new cosmetic rewards to earn.
