Paladins Battlegrounds Beta Launches (Battle Royale Mode)

Hi Rez Studios launched Open Beta Patch 66 today for Paladins which included the launch of the highly anticipated Battlegrounds (Battle Royale) game mode as well as a bunch of other balance changes.

Given how popular the Battle Royale genre has gotten thanks to the success of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite, no one should be surprised to see other popular shooters adding it onto their game. Like other popular Battle Royale games, Paladins Battlegrounds features 100 players fighting it out on a map that's about 300x the size of a typical Paladins stage. What makes Hi Rez's approach to Battlegrounds unique though is that it's not a typical tactical shooter, instead it's a hero shooter, which should help differentiate it from PUBG and Fortnite.
