Pangaea: New World Launches Kickstarter

LVR Studios has announced a KickStarter campaign for their upcoming survival MMO Pangaea: New World, beginning today November 25th. Donating now will grant players a digital copy of the Unreal Engine 4 game, with an estimated delivery of December 2016.
The future of Pangaea: New World depends on the support of the community, and we need to hit our base $250,000 goal to complete the game and release it on PC, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One at the end of 2016 according to our plan. A lot of stretch goals have been set by the team as well.
There will be 3 factions warring for control of the sprawling landscape: humans, mutants, and kinects, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The approximately 90km² (or ~60 miles) will be decorated with strange anomalies (inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R.), which are briefly shown off in the video below. Perhaps the most ambitious aspect of the game is an interdependent ecosystem linked by player events, such as extinguishing a species on one side of Pangaea will create an anomaly on the other, à la butterfly effect.
Professions will also be present, from fishing to engineering complex mechanisms. And crafted items will likely pervade the player-run economy.
As far as the story, each player is an immortal trapped in Pangaea thanks to alien Monoliths which encapsulate the land (reminiscent of Ark: Survival Evolved). Death is similar to Eve Online, players will regenerate their physical form and will be able to reacquire rare items and artifacts.
The game was previously Greenlit through Steam, but will not see an Early Access phase. The next 12 months will see rigorous development but I'm looking forward to hearing more details about the game. And as a self-described survival aficionado I'll be gallivanting through Pangaea on Day 1.
