Past Fate Talks About The Underworld For Dead Players, Kickstarter Campaign Struggles To Reach Funding Goal

past fate underworld bannerUnlike in other MMORPGs, there’s more to dying in Past Fate than simply respawning in a city or graveyard. According to the latest update on the game’s Kickstarter page, players who bite the dust will be transported to a separate zone called the Underworld. There, they can interact with other fallen adventurers, explore the zone for secrets and treasures, and even take on world bosses and dungeons.

Keep in mind though that dying while you’re technically dead will add a percentage stat debuff to your character that will stack every time you die in the Underworld. Once you’re ready to resume your journey in the land of the living, you can simply talk to a Valkyrie who will promptly send you back at which point you’ll be cleared of any debuffs you incurred during your stay in the Underworld. An “extremely early version” of the Underworld will be making its way to the ongoing open alpha test this week.

As for the game’s Kickstarter campaign, Icy North Games’ second stab at crowdfunding isn’t going as well as they’d hoped. As of this writing, the studio has only reached a little over $4,700 of their $25,000 funding goal with 11 days to go in the campaign. Unless people start opening their wallets soon, this Kickstarter campaign will likely meet the same fate as the first one.
