Phantasy Star Online 2 Launches on Steam, Hits 18,000+ Concurrent Players on Platform

Phantasy Star Online 2 launched on Steam this last week as planned and its off to an incredible starting, hitting nearly 19,000 total concurrent players and averaging over 12,000+. Those are incredible numbers for an MMORPG, especially since the game originally launched on the Windows Store.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is now the #4 most popular MMORPG on Steam after The Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy XIV and Path of Exile. If you haven't played it yet and are looking for a new MMO to sink your teeth into, it's well worth checking out. It's easily one of the best instanced dungeon persistent hub style MMORPGs I've played. Episode 4 also just launched with episodes 5 & 6 set to launch later this year.
